Offering a creative environment for the serious artist. A workplace for in-depth study and exploration of the craft of acting and drama
creation.
The emphasis is on character depth, not on quick results or shortcuts. Talent is only the starting point. Discipline and the desire to learn and
apply a vocabulary and craft-techniques are equally, if not more, important.
No career counseling. No "business" training. No tips of the trade. No secret pathways to stardom hype. The class demands your dedication and is geared towards the responsibility of the artist to his craft.
Actor, writer and director Frank Megna believes that the artistic disciplines of acting, writing and directing are actually different manifestations of
an underlying, organically derived, dramatic
process -- as Stanislavsky theorized.
To understand this is to remove detrimental
ego-conflicts and miscommunications in the
pursuit of our creative work.
Technique exercises, script analysis and structured improvisation will be taught in
addition to scene study. Actors will be encouraged to develop their own, original material.

Private sessions to help the actor deal with personal stumbling
blocks, role preparation and audition choices. Working within the
context of an actor’s personal technique, the emphasis is on
achieving a specific goal based upon immediate needs.
Cost: $100/hour or $750 for a series of 10 sessions.
For more information about our Private Coaching or to book a session, email us.
Script analysis is the starting point. Writers get lost in a sea of
misunderstood concepts and contradictory impulses. Dramatic
technique is a continuum. The more this is perceived, the better our
scripts will be for the directors and actors who will want to work on
them. Doctoring, character development and plot construction are
contingent on the dramatic premise.

The Working Stage Theater, email us.
Script Analysis Fee: $500, includes detailed notes and a step by step breakdown of the script as well as a gameplan for improving the script.
Script Guidance Fee: $100 per 1 hour session. Only applies to scripts previously analyzed
Frank Megna has been a popular lecturier at the Screenwriting Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition to his script consultation
services, he is available as a speaker on screenwriting.
