A place for responsible artists to work and growin an atmosphere of mutual respect.

The Working Stage Theater started in New York in 1986, founded by Frank Megna
and Mary Tower. The premise was to establish a collective of theater artists
dedicated to organic technique and socially relevant themes. Our aim was to create a new Group Theater.

After relocating to Los Angeles, we revived the company in 1992 and produced a
number of original works. Since 2002 the theater has been run by Diana Ljungaeus and Frank Megna.

Co-owner and producer:
Diana Ljungaeus

Diana Ljungaeus has been aprofessional writer since the age of 15 and has spent several
years as an international entertainment/arts journalist and she is currently the executive
director of Los Angeles Press Club.

She co-wrote the film The Seekers  Her play, 'The BoyWith No Heart' and aSwedish-American screenplay,'Hollywood on Hold', are currently in development.

Frank Megna
Frank Megna is a New York trained actor, writer and director. He studied at the renowned HB
Studios under the tutelage of Uta Hagen, Bill Hickey, Michael Beckett and Steven Strimpel–
among others. He also studied with Julie Bovasso, George Morrison and Kenneth McMillan.
Before moving to Los Angeles, he worked in numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway productions. In
addition to writing for episodic television, he has conducted many acting and writing workshops
and seminars.
He has been lecturing at the Los Angeles Screenwriting Expo. Frank Megna is available as a
speaker on screenwriting.
