The Working Stage Theater is a small live theater located in West Hollywood, CA.
We are dedicated to developing and producing original work, as well as
co-producing and renting the theater for outside productions.
The Working Stage Theater started in New York in 1986. The premise was to
establish a collective of theater artists dedicated to organic technique and socially
relevant themes. Our aim was to create a new Group Theater.
After relocating to Los Angeles, we revived the company in 1992 and produced a
number of original works. We are once again developing and producing original
work,



Frank Megna is a New York trained actor, writer and director. He studied at the renowned HB Studios under the
tutelage of Uta Hagen, Bill Hickey, Michael Beckett and Steven Strimpel– among others. Frank Megna also studied
with Julie Bovasso, George Morrison and Kenneth McMillan. Before moving to Los Angeles, Frank Megna worked in
numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway productions. In addition to writing a number of plays, screenplays, and TV scripts
Frank Megna has published one novel, The Long Count, and directed his first feature film, The Seekers. He has just
finished a modern mafia screenplay, "The Last Confession".Frank Megna is the founder and co-owner of Working
Stage Theater.
Diana Ljungaeus is an experienced and award winning journalist with a broad background as a reporter, researcher,
scriptwriter and producer. Diana Ljungeaus is also managing director/co-owner of The Working Stage Theater.in West
Hollywood. The Working Stage theatre specializes in offering affordable stage rentals to emerging artists, film
